The Cajal Institute Transparency Program aims to disseminate why and how laboratory animals are used in neuroscientific research, and how the principles of the 3 R's, reduction, refinement and replacement are applied in the Cajal Institute, according to the COSCE Agreement on the Use of Laboratory Animals in scientific investigation, and the COSCE Agreement on Transparency in Animal Experimentation.
This program is launched in 2018, consisting of outreach activities and talks where images and videos are exposed, as well as basic explanations to disseminate the principles mentioned above.
